  • Go to the Banking Center to choose Transactions and Banking.
  • Move towards the end of the screen to click on Upload a file tab.
  • The file you want to upload to the QBO
  • Go to QuickBooks Online Bank File Upload Window to select the bank account you want to link to the QuickBooks.
  • Next, set up QuickBooks account by providing the right information on the following fields- Account Type, Detail Type, Name, & Description.
  • Go to the QuickBooks Online fields to your financial institution’s account field.
  • Click on the transactions you want to export into QuickBooks Online and confirm the transactions by selecting Yes

Step 1: Migrate to Express Web Connect

  • You must not have pending transactions before moving ahead.
  • Backup your company file so that you do not lose your company data.
  • From File menu and select Switch to Single-user Mode.
  • In the Company menu, click on My Company.
  • From My Company window, hit on Sign in.
  • Note: If you haven't yet, you can create an Intuit account or recover your user ID and password.
  • Delete pending online payments or checks.
  • Add and match the previously downloaded transactions.

Step 2: Set up an account for Bank feeds

  • To download your bank transactions, set up your bank account in QuickBooks which is done by following the steps listed.
  • Using the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds then move to Set Up Bank Feed for an Account.
  • In the Enter your bank’s name field, type in the name of your bank or financial institution.
  • My Company sign in page is used to log in using the Intuit account credentials.
  • Enter your online banking account credentials, then choose Connect. QuickBooks will connect to the bank’s server.
  • Select the account(s) you want to connect to QuickBooks, then select Connect.
  • Finally, hit on Close.

Step 3: Download transactions using Express Web Connect

With the above 4 steps followed, you can now download the bank transactions.

  • In the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds.
  • Click on Bank Feeds Center.
  • In the Bank Accounts list, choose the account you need to download for.
  • Hit on the Download Transactions.
  • Once completed, select Transaction List to process the transactions.
